I will represent you through my values of fairness, equality, and inclusion, looking to achieve the following for our ward.
Further, I am very much interested in hearing from you on how we can best improve our ward via lazaras.panayiotou@cityofpae.sa.gov.au or +61 457 645 244
Ensuring Oakden Rise works for us
Between significant traffic concerns for an additional estimated 4,000 people, the unresolved status of our state's decade-long wait time for public housing, and how this remains a threat to our largest local population of native wildlife, we need ongoing oversight to ensure this development won’t make life worse in Northfield Ward.
Fighting for reliable, consistent bin collection
Cleanaway, our council’s multi-year locked-in waste services provider, has been letting our Northfield Ward community down. With concerns in council last term around Cleanaway’s ability to earnestly report on and meet their key performance indicators, the eastern side of our council deserves a more reliable, consistent service.
Community-first approach to our neighbourhood
I support Have Your Say PAE expanding its scope wherever possible so you can have a greater and direct say on how council funds are spent to improve all of our lives as well as supporting accessible architecture. We want spaces that encourage us to use them, not avoid them, which is when our public spaces are at their safest.
Our environment and people in harmony
I want Council to continue our forward-thinking work on exploring community battery and solar panel projects, and I also want to create more opportunities for our neighbourhoods to get involved in and expand our conservation work in our parklands, wetlands, and community gardens.
Advocacy by us and for us voiced through council
Through local government, we can push for our state and federal governments to put people before profit. For example, this can mean campaigns like advocating for more of our local buses to go from 30-minute intervals to 15-minute 'Go Zones' or for governments to take better care of our least fortunate community members.
